WildPeak Collective Run & Nutrition Coaching
While we aim to make Big Bear Peaks & Pines accessible to as many racers as possible, it is a challenging event!
We recommend coming to Big Bear with a solid base of training so you can make the most of your time with us. And that doesn’t just mean a better finishing time—the fitter you are, the more fun you will have. With focused training you can better manage the rolling and punchy terrain that running through the mountains will bring! You will want to be prepared for high altitude and the technical sections of the course. Any runner can feel the satisfaction of successfully tackling the strenuous terrain you’ll come across in Moab, but it requires specificity in your training and preparation.
We recommend looking into COACHING services to prepare you for the challenges that you will likely encounter during a multi-day trail running event held on the trails near Big Bear Lake, California. However, not every coach is well-versed in the specific training required for a multi-day race like Big Bear Peaks & Pines.
At TransRockies, we have partnered with the coaches at Wild Peak Collective since 2016 due to their specialization in preparing for and completing multi-day trail running events. Their coaches, Brittany Peterson, Manu Vilaseca, Maggie Guterl, and Carla Rodriguez Dimitrescu are internationally certified, have personal experience with multi-day trail running events and have coached athletes from all over the world for events such as Moab Run the Rocks. These coaches are very familiar with the TransRockies race courses, terrain, and conditions you’ll encounter at Big Bear Peaks & Pines and can help you prepare for the challenges ahead of you!
