Schedule and Formats
Big Bear Peaks & Pines is a 3-day trail running event. The weekend is structured with two distance options per day. Participants may register for the full 3-day stage run (June 12-14) or select a single-day option for the Saturday (June 13) stage or the Sunday (June 14) stage.
Set on the trails surrounding the beautiful valley of Big Bear this run event will offer some epic views and challenges over the course of the 3 days of running. June in Big Bear is spectacular with sunny, warm days, and cool, clear nights. With so many things to do around Big Bear, a family vacation weekend can be incorporated into this amazing destination for an unforgettable weekend!
This guide is provided for those considering registering to better understand how the event works, and also for registered runners planning and preparing for the event to guide you through the weekend.
Run Options
The 3-Day Stage Run - June 12-14, 2026
Participants compete in one stage per day for three consecutive days.
Full Pint: Totaling approximately 48 miles.
Half Pint: Totaling approximately 25 miles.
Full Pint:
At approximately 48 miles (77 km) and 6,700 ft (2,000 m) of vertical gain, The Full Pint is for those who want to experience as much of Big Bear’s legendary singletrack as possible in the short time you’re with us.
Half Pint:
For those that are looking for something a little less intense, we present The Half Pint. It has all the flavor without the volume, and at approximately 25 miles (40 km) and 3200 ft (975 m) of vertical gain, this challenging course highlights some of Big Bear’s finest singletrack.
Single-Day Options
On Saturday, June 13, the long-course stages are open to single-day runners as the 30th Annual Holcomb Valley Trail Run.
Holcomb 33-Mile/53km (Saturday only)
Holcomb 15-Mile/24km (Saturday only)
On Sunday, June 14, the short-course stages are open to single-day runners.
Holcomb 5-Mile/15km (Sunday only)
Holcomb 9-Mile/8km (Sunday only)
Note: Runners in the TransRockies 3-day stage run & the 1-day (Saturday) Holcomb 33M/15M run will run together on the same courses. The 3-day runner results will be included in the 1-day Holcomb run and 3-day runners will be eligible for Holcomb awards.

Run Format
TransRockies Stage Run Categories & Awards:
Awards will be presented for Full/Half on Friday and Saturday at the “Christmas Tree Corner” in the center of the Big Bear Village and Sunday (at the finish line - Big Bear High School) in the following categories:
Open Men/Women - Under 50 - 1st place receives a complimentary entry for the 2027 edition of the Moab Run the Rocks.
50+ Men/Women - 1st place receive a complimentary entry for the 2027 edition of Moab Run the Rocks
1st to 3rd places in the General Classification (GC) for male and female Full Pint & Half Pint
Holcomb Valley Trail Run Categories & Awards:
For the Holcomb Valley Trail Runs and other single day runs, prizes will be awarded for the top three overall and the top 3 in each age group on Saturday and Sunday. There will be no presentations for the age group awards, but they will be available at the Finish Line with a photo opportunity.

THURSDAY, JUNE 11
Packet Pick Up: Christmas Tree Corner (Big Bear Village) - 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Friday morning at the start from 10:00 am - 11:30 am. The run starts at Noon on Friday from Snow Summit.
Shake Out Run: 4:00 pm from the ChillVille (Christmas Tree Corner) - 3 miles.
Opening Ceremonies: 6:30-7:00 pm - Main Expo/ChillVille - Christmas Tree Corner - 40803 Village Drive, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315
Volunteer Meeting: 7:15 pm
Stage 1 – Up Snow Summit
FRIDAY, JUNE 12
Packet Pick Up: Christmas Tree Corner (Big Bear Village) - 9:00 am - 12:00pm. The Friday stage starts at Noon from Snow Summit, which is a 5 minute drive from the Christmas Tree Corner.
Full Pint & Half Pine: Noon
Happy Hour: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm - ChillVille - Christmas Tree Corner
Stage 1 Awards: 5:00 pm - ChillVille - Christmas Tree Corner
Start/Finish Location: Base of Snow Summit Resort (5-minute drive to Christmas Tree Corner)

Full Pint: 6:30 am - CUT OFF is 4:30 pm for FULL PINT
Half Pint: Dawn Patrol with Lisa: 7:00 am (Hikers ONLY)

Lost & Found: Don’t forget to check in with Event Office (green TransRockies Run tents) before you go home. We donate all of the lost and found to charity.
